This photo was one of a series I produced for Dewar’s Profiles in the 1980’s. We had no idea what to expect when Alexandra Ferri showed up at the studio looking very plain and shy but as soon as she was ‘onstage’, in front of the camera, she became another person entirely. She lit up. I don’t think we took a single image photo of her where didn’t look beautiful. At the time she was a young dancer for ABT, but clearly, she had places to go.
